Electricity from the North Sea
The Netherlands is in a strong position

Dutch companies and centres of expertise benefit from the results of the We@Sea R&D program.

Over the past five years, many aspects of harvesting wind energy from the North Sea were studied within the framework of the research program We@Sea. The results contribute to a better position of Dutch companies and R&D establishments involved in offshore wind energy. The book "Converting Offshore Wind into Electricity; the Netherlands' contribution to offshore wind energy knowledge" summarises these results. Order now!  read_more

Ecological Reports

In the last decades, European countries around the North Sea with offshore wind energy ambitions, have executed ecological research. We@Sea presents a collection of important ecological research reports on offshore wind farms and scientific literature. The collection consists of publications covering all aspects of the ecological effects of wind farms: above water and underwater effects. Above water studies of birds and underwater research about benthos, fish and marine mammals.

This collection is specially composed by We@Sea for our colleagues in the USA.
