We@Sea: a consortium heading for the Sea
The Dutch government has set a target for the development of 6,000MW of wind power in the Dutch part of the North Sea by 2020. In order to meet this target, knowledge and technical expertise are required to build and operate wind farms in a sustainable way. We@Sea was the first integrated research programme to gain this knowledge, The programme was established by a consortium with more than 30 participants.
The consortium We@Sea acquired a grant (Bsik) for a research and development programme of 7 outlines.
We@Sea managed the research programme from 2004 untl 2010.
